OUR COMMUNITIES

Redcliff Museum

The Redcliff Museum was established in the spring of 1980 by a group of concerned people who felt the history of Redcliff and area should be preserved.

The town of Redcliff provided the old Town Hall to the Museum Society and the museum was opened to the public in June of 1981.

The museum features displays about the town’s rich history which includes coal mining, tornados and local businesses. There is also an extensive archive that can be used for family research. This mostly volunteer run museum is an excellent example of how a community can come together with a single goal of preserving the past. It started as small museum that was only open a few hours every year. Now it’s doubled in size and is open from May to September, Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
